Karthik is the Executive Director and COO of Mahindra Aerostructures, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, where he is responsible for the overall operations of the aerostructures business and its manufacturing facility. The business holds all relevant industry, EHS and cyber-security certifications apart from six NADCAP accreditations. Since starting commercial deliveries in January 2015, the business has built up a strong reputation for delivery performance. Today it supplies more than 2500 lines of metallic parts and assemblies every month to leading global OEMs and their Tier 1s. Karthik has more than three decades of experience in the aerospace industry, including 11 years spent in the US before returning to India in 2006. Prior to joining Mahindra, he worked in a variety of domains including aircraft design, prototyping & flight-testing, advanced flight controls, and airborne system development. He holds B. Tech & M. S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from IIT-Madras and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. Karthik also earned a Private Pilot’s Licence while at IIT-Madras, and more recently attended the Mahindra Universe Program at the Harvard Business School in the USA.
